I needed a place to organize some good food ideas for me, as someone who doesn't know to cook and struggles to do anything anyway because I'd depressed. I've decided to put it up on here, in case anyone else finds it helpful.
Barely Outta Bed
Rice and Steamed Vegtables

I have a rice cooker, so rice is super easy, and adding some vegtables adds a bit of flavour and a bit more much needed nutrients.

  • Steamed broccoli
  • Canned beans
  • Fried tomatoes
  • Steamed carrots
Bacon

Bacon is super easy, and good for protein. Unfortuately not very filling on it's own, but it's better than nothing

  • You can bake bacon in the oven, my sibling suggested it to me and it works pretty well when you want to put absolutely 0 effort in, just remember to turn it off.
  • Classic style. Just put some bacon in a pan big enough on low heat, and just drag a chair into the kitchen so you can keep an eye on it.
Toast

A struggle meal classic. Works if you're too depressed, too broke, or both. Some things that you can add to

  • Honey (honey butter toast is soo good, it can cure your depression)
  • Jam
  • Peanut butter
Sandwhiches

Another struggle meal classic, I'm gonna list some basic and easy sandwhich combinations. But go hog wild, this is just things that are likely to be in my home at any given time.

  • Cheese and bacon
  • Bacon and lettuce
  • PB+J
  • Lettuce and cheese
  • Chicken and lettuce
Cereal

Simple, filling, can be eaten in bed if you're careful.

Oatmeal

I know some people find oatmeal boring, but I was raised on the stuff and I love it.

  • Jam
  • Peanut butter
Can Cut A Carrot
Spaghetti

Spaghetti is harder for me, because I am embarrassingly bad at cooking. But nonetheless spaghetti is cheap, basic, and can be added to on good days. (WIP, will add spaghetti instructions when my sibling writes it down for me)

Chili

My sibling makes a mean chili, and it's like 80% dumping cans into a pot so it's really easy. (WIP, will add when I get the exact recipe from them)

Fried Potatoes

Potatoes are a staple crop for a reason, and 1 lazy meal that can be made from them is just frying them.

  • Chop along the width, so if this->0 is the potato, you'll chop it like -0-.
  • Lay on a baking sheet, spread olive oil over top.
  • Put into the oven for (wip)
